British Airways goes daily to Rio

Flights to be operated by new 777-300

British Airways is to increase frequency on its Rio flights and offer a daily service from Heathrow commencing 28th October.

BritishAirwaysRioFlights will be operated by a 777-300, one of the most modern aircraft in British Airways fleet, featuring a four-cabin configuration boasting all the airline’s most up to date product in World Traveller, World Traveller Plus, Club World & First.

Traffic between the UK and Brazil continues to grow year-on-year with 155,000 Brits making the long journey in 2012, an increase of some 4% on the year before. As well as ever improving trade links, tourism numbers are also on the increase and set to rise still further as Brazil hosts the World Cup in 2014 followed by the Olympics in 2016.
