British Airways to increase Jersey frequency

British Airways has announced that it will increase frequency between Gatwick & Jersey from 5 to 6 flights per day.

The new service will commence in Spring 2014, coinciding with the withdrawal of Flybe from the route.

Not from Gatwick..

Earlier this summer Flybe announced that it was pulling out of Gatwick altogether from March 2014 and had reached an agreement to sell its slots to Easyjet.

Commenting on the additional flight, Colm Lacy, British Airways Head of Commercial at Gatwick, stated: “British Airways first started flying to Jersey nearly 80 years ago so it’s great news that we are increasing frequency by offering our customers up to six flights a day with our new additional service. This conveniently timed sixth flight will significantly boost our schedule to give customers added flexibility, improved connection times to onward flights into Europe and a greater choice of departures.”
