This foodie extravaganza, run in partnership with British Airways, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and, if past years are anything to go by, will be visited and enjoyed by thousands of Londoners and visitors alike. Over 200 artisan producers and premium brands will be promoting the finest food and drink from the UK and around the world. In addition, 40 of London’s top restaurants will be serving their finest dishes, allowing visitors the opportunity to enjoy a quite superb tasting menu. For British Airways, the Taste of London is an opportunity for the airline to showcase the superb food and drink it offers its own customers. British Airways carries over 30 million passengers a year and, in the process, serves some 100,000 meals a day. Years of experience have taught the airline just how difficult it can be attaining the highest culinary standards when flying at over 30,000 feet and, to this end, the airline has developed its own, unique Height Cuisine, working with chefs, suppliers and nutritionists from around the world to provide the best possible airborne experience.
At Taste of London, British Airways will provide visitors with an opportunity to sample some of the menus the airline will be serving on its brand new A380s later this year. Visitors will also be able to sample the airline’s famous afternoon tea, devised in conjunction with London’s Dorchester hotel and featuring a blend of tea that has been blended specifically for the airline by Twinings. And as if all that wasn’t incentive enough, there will also be a chance to win a pair of tickets on the airline’s brand new A380 service.
